Meridian Support Services was established in the year 2000 to provide help and support to everyone and anyone involved in the cleaning industry. It was felt at the time that there were companies who were dissatisfied with the service the were receiving from their contract cleaners but did not have the knowledge or the time to sort things out. They may even have had a one off cleaning problem such as odour control, high level cleaning, floor treatment or staining that their contract cleaner could not resolve.
This is where Meridian could help. The wealth of knowledge and expertise gained by Meridian management and staff over the years would be enough to resolve most peoples problems This is where the consultancy side of things came from. But since then the company has grown and now has its own workforce employed in all aspects of the cleaning industry.
Along with the consultancy for cleaning customers there was also thought to be a need for smaller cleaning contractors to get help with Health & Safety issues. Many small contractors were not aware of their legal obligations under Health & Safety legislation and needed help preparing policies and method statements etc.
This is where Meridian could help again
The company’s aim has never been to take work from other contractors. It is just to ensure that the client is getting the service they are paying for and smaller contract cleaning companies get the help they need.
